Adrian Davis Swing Orchestra

This is primarily a Swing Dance music organization and feature two bands: The Adrian Davis Swing Orchestra (16 pieces consisting of 5 saxophones, 7 brass, 4 rhythm, and vocals) and The Up-Swing Octet (4 rhythm, tenor and baritone sax, trumpet, trombone, and vocals). Both groups play not only traditional Swing of the greats like Glen Miller, Count Basie, the Dorsey brothers, but also the more contemporary sounds of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and Bobby Darin. They also have in our library a variety of Latin and Rock & Roll favorites. The Adrian Davis Swing Orchestra has been performing for weddings, anniversaries, private parties and public ballroom dances for over 25 years. Dance clubs, professional organizations, corporations and individuals keep both bands busy year round. They have played virtually every country club and major hotel from San Francisco to Pebble Beach on Monterey Bay. Their regular customers ask them back year after year because they know Adrian Davis Swing Orchestra will help make their event the best ever.

Big City Revue Orchestra

Step back in time to the Big Band Era with Big City Orchestra. Sway to the elegant arrangements reminiscent of Count Basie, Glen Miller, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington and Tommy Dorsey complete with melodic male and female vocalists and a full horn section featuring 6 horns. Behind Art Deco bandstands, wearing white dinner jackets and black ties, the Big City Orchestra is as pleasing to the eye as it is to the ear. With one quick transformation, Big City Orchestra leaps forward into the modern day as Big City Revue Party Band churning out the dancable favorites of the past four decades.

Bill Travis Swing Orchestra

The Bill Travis Swing Orchestra (17 piece) plays the music of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, and its own high-powered custom arrangements. This band is rapidly becoming one of the premier big dance bands in the Bay Area. The Bill Travis 7-piece band is a dynamic band that can play swing, big band, standards, jazz, latin, and R&B. This band is flexible in size and can have a female and a male vocalist, and various combinatios to suit the clients needs.

Black Market Jazz Orchestra

The Black Market Jazz Orchestra combines excellent arrangements and spirited playing into a swinging example of today's Big Band sounds while maintaining the spirit of Big Bands past. The Black Market Jazz Orchestra can accommodate any situation. No matter what the size, the band always plays a great variety of music and is top of the line entertainment.

Black Tie Jazz Orchestra

The Black Tie Jazz Orchestra is an 8-piece band consisting of keyboards, drums, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass, sax, trumpet, and a female vocalist. Together for 12 years, The Black Tie Jazz Orchestra features five lead vocalists, which allows the band to cover a wide range of material. The band's musical format is continuous, which means there is always a live player on stage to entertain you and your guests. We coordinate the evening with the host/hostess at your hall or country club to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Cynthia & the Swing Set

Now a seasoned San Francisco Bay Area vocalist, Cynthia Bythell brings an innovative approach to jazz vocals, treating her voice as an instrument to fully express her personality. She is a truly vibrant and engaging performer, well known for her appearances in the area's most prestigious night clubs including York Hotel's famous Plush Room, Claremont Resort's sophisticated Terrace Lounge, and the chic Coconut Grove Supper Club. Cynthia shines in intimate surroundings, yet her trio is equally comfortable providing background music with or without vocals. They also enjoy doing more lively tunes for dancing and can add a horn player upon request. This versatility makes Cynthia Bythell and her trio ideal for wedding receptions, parties and all types of special events.

David Hardiman

Trumpeter David Hardiman has been fronting a jazz-based dance orchestra out of the San Francisco, Bay Area since 1975. The San Francisco All Star Big Band and David Hardiman have been bringing back those Big Band sounds of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Earl "Fatha" Hines, and Johnny Otis Big Band, just to name a few! In addition to playing trumpet and leading his own Big Band, he has also developed a jazz studies program at San Francisco City College. David Hardiman can be seen and heard almost every Sunday in the trumpet section of the Golden Gate Park Band.

Snappy outfits from the forties aren't only on stage, but fill the dance floor in swirl of dances ranging from Lindy Hop to East and West Coast Swing.

Johnny Nocturne Band

The Johnny Nocturne Band continues, after many years, to be the creme de la creme of contemporary jump-swing bands! They swing as hard as Count Basie's Kansas City Seven, jumps as much as Louis Jordan's Timpany Five and bops like the great '40s bands of Lionel Hampton.

Lavay Smith & Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers

The sultry vocals of chanteuse Lavay Smith, an all-star piece band and a large repertoire of classic by Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Bessie Smith, Dinah Washington, T-Bone Walker and many others has made them one of the hottest acts in town!

The Martini Brothers

The Martini Brothers have performed at almost every San Francisco hot spot such as: The Top of The Mark, The Compass Rose, The Garden Court at The Sheraton Palace, The Coconut Grove, Enricos, The High Ball Lounge, Julie Ring's Heart and Soul and many more. In addition to night clubs, The Martini Brothers have been regularly called on to perform at gala events such as: The Napa Valley Wine Auction, The S.F. Symphony (Summer in the City Pops concerts and their New Years Gala for the last 7 years). The Black and White Ball, The Red and White Ball and some of the Bay Area's most exclusive corporate events and private weddings.

Moodswing Orchestra

MoodSwing Orchestra was formed in March of 1995 for the performance and promotion of swing and dance band music of the 1930s and 1940s. MoodSwing's repertoire covers the big band classics of Glenn Miller, Tommy Doresy, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Harry James, and Count Basie as well as the vocal styling of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Ella Fitzgerald, and more. MoodSwing Orchestra's collection of music appeals to people of all ages especially now that the young people are enjoying swing.

Richard Olsen Orchestra

Richard Olsen has been entertaining San Francisco audiences for almost twenty years. An accomplished saxophonist, clarinetist, flutist and vocalist, he has appeared in performance before the Governor of California and in every major hotel in the city. Richard Olsens extensive professional experience makes him uniquely qualified to provide music of high calibre to satisfy a variety of tastes.

Rich Martini Orchestra

San Francisco Jitterbugs

Well known for their educational "dance through time" historical demonstration, the San Francisco Jitterbugs have been seen in motion pictures, TV shows, magazine covers, fairs, festivals and events all over the bay area and beyond. The SF Jitterbugs represent a wide spectrum of lady and fella bugs in the Bay Area. San Francisco Starlight Orchestra

Since 1985, the fifteen-piece San Francisco Starlight Orchestra has been bringing back the ballroom magic of the 20s and early 30s with a unique mix of jazz and dance music, authentic to the last note.

Driven by an infectious jump-band beat. Steve Lucky and the Rhumba Bums wed precision and musicianship to a lively stage presence in finger snapping performances of jewels from swing, blues, and New Orleans R&B traditions.

Swingtime

Swingtime featuring Sara Klotz De Aguilar specializes in the songs of the 20s, 30s, 40s, and the Golden Age of American Popular Music. Sara appears to have stepped out of the time of tunes with her interpretations of popular tunes by Cole Porter, Berlin and Hart just to name a few.

Wally's Swing World

Swing King Walt Trindade is bringing back the big band sound. By covering the songs of legends such as Sinatra and Tony Bennett as well as the younger Harry Connick Jr., Wally is introducing a whole new generation to the bopping sounds of classic American Swing. Wally's Swing World.

Zeena Quinn & Sweet 'N Sour Swing

The repertoire of Zeena Quinn & Sweet 'N Sour Swing echoes songs of the 1930s to the 1950s originally made famous by Louis Prima, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Jordan, Peggy Lee, Anita O'Day and Ruth Brown to name a few. Based in the Bay Area, Zeena Quinn performs at numerous festivals, clubs, corporate and private parties, benefits and appears such top jazz and swing venues such as the Fillmore Street Jazz Festival, Mister E's and the Claremont Hotel.
